So, I come home yesterday after picking the kids up from school and this is what awaited us from across the street. Our neighbors must have been drinking heavily for the past week, because no one in their right mind would have picked that color.
At first, I hoped it was the primer coat, but I asked the painters working on the house and they confirmed it was the final color. These neighbors are quiet, no kids and they are never outside. I think they are from Israel. I am starting to think they are from another planet at this point and possibly color blind. The house is really hideous in the early morning light, a nice neon purple with the dark blue/purple trim - gag!!!
It is really disappointing after spending so much time and money on your house to make it look nice and the neighbor can paint their house this awful color. Well, there goes the home values on our street. All of us are just shaking our heads wondering what in the hell they were thinking.

I love bright colors, but I can't quit laughing at this.
It's like living across the street from Disneyland, only it does not feel like the happiest place on earth. The neighbor did come over and say the painters made a mistake and is was going to be a lighter color almost white. Well, they are repainting today and is lighter alright, a lighter purple lavendar color.
Mike and I are cracking up! That had to be such a shocker! I'm glad to read they're changing colors. Loved the pictures of jaden....it sounds like he is enjoying it. Have you installed a fridge, port a potty and a microwave in your car yet? I used to say I was going to do that with all the running around. You're in that crazy, busy time of life!
