To say the least, the month of December has been quite the ride. Now that the kitchen is done, I am amazed at how many people we have had over to congregate for many reasons. Birthdays, bunco, funerals, Christmas Eve. I do have to say that I am glad the whirlwind is over, but I hate the thought of putting up the holiday decorations.
Tony and I had told each other we were not going to exchange gifts. We really didn't need anything so all was good. The morning of the 24th, the doorbell rang and there was some guy there telling me he had a refrigerator to install. I told him I had not bought a fridge and tried to turn him away. After thinking for a minute, I grabbed the phone and called Tony. I asked him "did you buy a fridge?" and he calmly replied "Yes, Merry Christmas". So needless to say, I now have the most beautiful 48" monster of a Sub Zero fridge in the kitchen. I could easily fit all three boys in it and possibly one or both of the dogs. It even has self closing drawers for the fruit - I am in fridge heaven.
Christmas morning blew threw like a hurricane and the boys had a blast. Jaden and Luke got their Nintendo DSi, new scooters, helmets and Dylan got a new bike and a gun to shoot deer and birds - don't even ask about that one. I still torture the boys and make them wear matching PJ's. I figure I have maybe another year or two before they tell me where to put the PJ's. The family got an X Box kinect and Tony and I played Dance Central by ourselves after the kids went to bed. Needless to say, we are not going to win any awards anytime soon.
The New Year came and went and the picture of the dogs sums up how I am feeling now it is all over. The kids are back in school and I am recovering from a bad cold/flu bug that turned into pneumonia. I am slowly on the mend and just working like a madwoman shipping horses to the United Arab Emirates (a total of 18 in all). Things are great and the boys are keeping me extremely busy and I am including my biggest boy, Tony in that group. Hope you all have the best New Year ever. I have no resolutions other than to survive and maybe do something creative and memorable in 2011.

Wow! Your boys scored on Christmas! They look so happy with all of their loot. I'm sure your fridge is awesome- what a nice gift! I'm jealous.
I put a deposit down on a Goldendoodle today! I can't wait. I have been wanting one for a long time. We are getting a female that will join us in mid-February. I will be calling you in the next few days to get some tips on how to train a dog and make it mellow like your dogs! My mom says that you are the dog whisperer! :)
Yeah for Goldendoodles. Our cousin Callie is picking up her new doodle puppy this weekend from the same breeder as ours. They really are wonderful dogs. I definitely suggest crate training. It is the best thing for them. Is it a standard or a medium size dog and is it an F1 or F1b? How exciting.
It is an F1 standard. The dad is a 70 lb white poodle and the mom is a 50 lb. golden retriever. I am definitely going to crate train! With a dog so big, I am worried about training it right so it doesn't over take us!
That gun certainly looks fit for birds and deer. He has been hanging out with grandpa Doug too much. So glad you are feeling better. Miss you and all the boys
